I am flattered that you clicked on the “About” page and therefore want to get to know me better. Thank you for letting me take you on the journey of how my passion for Kombucha turned into this one-woman-company called “Kombucha Bangkok”.
When I first came to Bangkok, I couldn’t find Kombucha anywhere. That’s because it wasn’t sold in Bangkok yet. I love Kombucha! It is not only delicious, but it also has some health benefits like the promotion of a healthy digestive system. So, I decided to make it myself!
After bringing back a Kombucha culture (SCOBY) from my family in France, I started brewing it for my own consumption. Soon my friends and friends of my friends were asking me for Kombucha, since they also couldn’t find it anywhere in Bangkok. I didn’t really plan for it to become a business, I just liked making and drinking Kombucha. It is and always has been important to me to exclusively use organic teas, and for the beverage to stay 100% natural, even when playing with different flavors. So, what started as an experiment, quickly became a passion and led to the foundation of Kombucha Bangkok in 2014 – the first Kombucha shop in Bangkok!
When I started my business I started it with a statement, I wanted it to be a zero waste and 100% natural.
Today, I am still living up to this and trying to make a small difference in this world. In the past couple of years, Thailand has become more aware of how much waste it produced, and efforts are made to reduce necessary waste and over packaging. But what exactly does this mean for Kombucha Bangkok?
All the products are zero waste. We only use recycled paper and the packaging was created to be 100% biodegradable and compostable. Empty glass bottles are be returned and reused.
By doing this, we are moving into the right direction and can make the ecological footprint of Bangkok smaller!
Using exclusively organic teas, playing with different flavors (always 100% natural), each bottle is handcrafted with utmost care and love. Kombucha Bangkok products are 100% natural and cruelty-free. They contain no synthetic ingredients, no dyes, no fragrances, and no artificial preservatives. Products composition and packaging are developed with biodegradable and recycled materials. At Kombucha Bangkok we believe that everyone should have access to this health elixir.
